Bay Area newspaper the San Francisco Examiner shared pictures of Reeves and co-star Carrie-Anne Moss in between scenes on the upcoming adventure.

The plot of the movie is being kept firmly under wraps, but fans have been disarmed by the fact Reeves does not seem to have adopted the trademark Neo look and appears more like John Wick out for a stroll.
Fans have been waiting for a continuation of the story since trilogy-closer The Matrix Revolutions landed to very mixed reviews in 2003.
One half of the original directing duo — Lana Wachowski — has returned to helm this new movie, and has co-written the script with novelists Aleksandar Hemon and David Mitchell.
The actors were spotted in between scenes, so it’s not known whether their attire in the pictures reflects their look in the actual movie in any way.

This didn’t stop fans from speculating wildly about Reeves’ appearance, including the lack of Neo’s iconic shades and hair.
If Keanu Reeves comes back in The Matrix 4, leave him exactly as he is. Let him come back as Digital Jesus - shaggy beard, long hair, and all. Fire up those industrial fans to motivate his hair to flow. Dramatic lighting positioned directly behind him like a silhouette. REVEAL!

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Neil Patrick Harris, Jonathan Groff and Priyanka Chopra have joined the series for the new Matrix installment.
