Everything new on Netflix UK in August 2021
It's a busy month of original movies on Netflix, including two action thrillers headlined by major Hollywood stars. Jason Momoa leads Sweet Girl, in which he plays a father seeking to protect his daughter while also avenging his wife's death, while John David Washington plays an American tourist at the centre of a Greek manhunt in Beckett.
Elsewhere, Lin-Manuel Miranda voices an adorable South American critter in animated musical Vivo and there's a third instalment in the Kissing Booth franchise. On the TV front, Paris Hilton hosts a new cooking show and Sandra Oh leads The Chair, which counts Game of Thrones duo David Benioff and D. B. Weiss as its executive producers.
