Tyler Perry slams Prometheus
The man who dresses up as an old lady for his films will try and better Sir Ridley Scott
Tyler Perry, famous for his cross-dressing creation 'Madea' in a series of hit movies, has criticised Ridley Scott's latest sci-fi epic, and gone on to say he is working on his own entry in the genre.
Speaking to BlackFilm, Perry said: “I love Sci Fi, I love the 'Alien' movies and the 'Alien' franchise. I was very disappointed with 'Prometheus,' but I love that whole franchise."

The actor and director refused to elaborate further, but the divisive blockbuster has certainly got audiences talking. The hugely hyped summer event movie left some reviewers unmoved, despite the sumptuous visuals and epic scope.
Perry, though, thinks he is ready to take on the likes of George Lucas and Ridley Scott with his own take on sci-fi.
“I’m actually working on a sci-fi movie right now…. I’m writing a sci-fi movie that I’m really excited about” he said, without giving away any additional details.
There's no word yet as to whether Perry will star in or direct his planned movie. He will, however, next be seen on screen as Detective Alex Cross.
'Alex Cross' will be released on 30 November in the UK.
