Hulk movie could follow Avengers 2

Marvel boss floats a couple of story worlds a solo Hulk movie could be pitched into

A new Hulk movie is being talked up, following the character's successful reboot in 'Avengers Assemble'.

Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige reckons that Bruce Banner's green alter-ego has legs for another solo feature, but not until 'Avengers 2' happens.

Feige has even gone as far as to float a couple of the Hulk comic books that a film could work with.

“Do I think Hulk can carry a movie and be as entertaining as he was in Avengers? I do believe that,” he told MTV. “I do believe he absolutely could. We certainly are not even going to attempt that until 'Avengers 2'. So there's a lot of time to think about it.

“Part of what's fun about the way we played him in 'Avengers' is the ensemble quality of it. I think the pathos and humour, most importantly, that Mark [Ruffalo, who played Hulk] and Joss brought to it showcased a different element of Hulk that's there in the comics, and was always inherent in his character.

“I don't think there's a lot that we couldn't do someday, as the cinematic universe continues to grow and expand and get as big as the comic book universe. 'Planet Hulk' is a cool story. 'World War Hulk' is a cool story.”

Past Hulk movies have performed reasonably at the box office, but never quite satisfied fans of the comic books. They have also struggled with producing a convincing CGI version of the gigantic, mutated human.
