Bruce Banner And The Hulk On A Collision Course In Thor 3

Bruce Banner and The Hulk may collide in ‘Thor: Ragnarok’.

During an interview with Collider, ‘Avengers’ star Mark Ruffalo weighed in on The Hulk’s character arc in the upcoming ‘Thor: Ragnarok’… and it could take an interesting turn.

“I think the arc that he is ultimately making in his relationship with The Hulk and how that’s gonna resolve itself, that’s really where… nobody has gone to that place,” he said.

“He’s always been running from him or trying to deny it but they are coming for a collision course with each other and I think that could be pretty exciting if we can figure out a way, how to do it — multi-dimensionally. The only person in the world that The Hulk is scared of, or thing, is Banner.”

Of course, this is never more obvious than in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ when Bruce Banner flies off in the quinjet rather than face up to his alter ego.

But could we finally see the two of them clash?

It was recently reported that ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ could include elements of the ‘Planet Hulk’ storyline from the comic books… and that would suggest that there’s more of a symbiotic relationship between banner and The Hulk.

After all, ‘Planet Hulk’ features a far more intelligent Hulk than we’ve seen in the movies.

Of course, if ‘Thor 3’ does feature a clash between Banner and Hulk, this would be the first time we’ve seen Mark Ruffalo take on the most interesting dynamic of the dual-nature of his character.

And it’s something fans have been dying to see.

Let’s just hope Mark Ruffalo is given the opportunity to tackle this.

‘Thor: Ragnarok’ heads to cinemas on 27 October 2017.
