Logan black and white 'Noir' cut coming to Blu-ray
‘Logan’ is getting the rumoured black and white cut and it’s heading to the UK on Blu-ray.
Although American fans get to see ‘Logan Noir’ in cinemas for one-night-only on 16 May 2017 Brits aren’t getting left out. ‘Logan Noir’ – the black and white version of ‘Logan’ – is heading to Blu-ray along with the theatrical version of the film on 10 July 2017.
Pretty cool, eh bub?

Here’s the official release notes:
“In the near future, a weary Logan (Hugh Jackman) cares for an ailing Professor X (Patrick Stewart) in a hideout on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are upended when a young mutant (Dafne Keen) arrives, being pursued by dark forces.”
“In addition to the version seen in cinemas, the 4K Ultra HD™ and Blu-ray™ contain a slick monochrome version of the film, entitled Logan Noir, giving the acclaimed story an all-new look.”
And that’s not all.
According to 20th Century Fox, the special features include almost 90 minutes of original content, including numerous deleted scenes and a behind-the-scenes documentary all about everyone’s favourite mutant.
But let’s be honest – it’s the black and white cut we really care about.
And while we wish the UK was getting a cinematic release too, at least we’ll get to see ‘Logan’ in all its black and white glory… eventually.
‘Logan’ stars Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, alongside Patrick Stewart, Stephen Merchant, Dafne Keen, Boyd Holbrook and Richard E. Grant.
James Mangold directed the movie based on a script he co-wrote with Scott Frank and Michael Green.
‘Logan’ opened in cinemas on 1 March 2017.
