Marvel’s Inhumans Still In Development

It looks as though ‘Inhumans’ isn’t dead yet…

According to ComicBookMovie.com, Marvel president Kevin Feige revealed an update on the state of its ‘Inhumans’ movie during San Diego Comic Con… and it looks as though it’s still in the works.

“We’ve announced through 2019, we have ideas through 2021. It sounds like the future but it’s not so far away. We’re determining what we’ll be doing then and certainly Inhumans will be part of that.“

Experimented upon by the Kree thousands of years ago, the Inhumans developed numerous super powers after exposure to the Terrigen Mists. Marvel’s ‘Inhumans’ follows the story of the Inhuman royal family – a group of superhuman individuals led by Black Bolt.

And for a while, it was even rumoured to star Vin Diesel as Black Bolt himself.

But then many fans assumed that the project had been cancelled.

Marvel’s upcoming film slate has been changed around rather significantly, most likely in order to make room for the upcoming ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’. After all, Marvel Studios and Sony’s joint effort to bring the webslinger back to the big screen is a pretty big deal.

But that doesn’t mean the ‘Inhumans’ movie isn’t coming eventually.

Of course, there were plenty of rumours that Kevin Feige was never comfortable with an ‘Inhumans’ movie and that it was all at the request of Ike Perlmutter in order to push the ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ TV series to be further in line with the movie universe.

But if ‘Inhumans’ is still coming, that looks unlikely.

Either way, it looks as though we can look forward to seeing the ‘Inhumans’ head to the big screen.

But who will play them? For now, we’ll have to wait and see.
